Welcome! My name is Michele Johns. I have been photographing clients since 2012. I offer a one-stop photography experience for glamour boudoir, fine art maternity and headshots/branding, as well as other commissioned portrait work; managing every aspect of the shoot.
Services range from arranging the professional hair and makeup artist, wardrobe planning to artistic set design – each of my photography services is customizable to suit my clients’ needs.
My Story
Growing up, I struggled with a poor body image. I hated my body.
I always knew I loved photography. The way a photo could freeze time and doesn't fade like a memory. But I hated to be photographed. I would hide my body as much as possible. I really wanted to be photographed so I started studying how to look better in pictures.
I came across fine art nude photography and took courses on how to photograph the nude form. I began to use similar lighting techniques in my boudoir work.
Boudoir photography in particular helps me heal a little more because I am not alone in the body confidence department. Each client shares with me what she doesn't love about her body.... EVERY woman dislikes SOMETHING about her body and helping her to see that she is beautiful even with those self perceived flaws is THE BEST REWARD and helps me to heal too. I have learned that sometimes the parts we don't love about our body are what make us unique and beautiful after all.
